Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all quotations, estimates, contracts, and works provided by Bath Craft Renovations (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to the client (“Client”, “you”). By accepting a quotation, paying a booking deposit, or instructing us to commence work, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Quotations & Scope of Work
Validity: Written quotations are based on visible site conditions at the time of the initial assessment and remain valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue.
Scope Definition: The agreed scope of works will be clearly detailed in your written quote or schedule of works.
Variation Orders: Any additional works, upgrades, or design changes requested by the Client after commencement will be confirmed in writing via a Variation Order, outlining any cost or timeline adjustments, and must be approved before implementation.
3. Supply of Materials & Fixtures
Contractor-Supplied Materials: All core building materials, adhesives, waterproofing membranes, pipework, and agreed fixtures supplied by us will be fit for purpose and meet Irish building and plumbing standards.
Client-Supplied Items: Where sanitaryware, tiles, vanity units, or brassware are purchased directly by the Client:
The Client is responsible for ensuring correct quantities, dimensions, and timely delivery to the site.
Items must be inspected for physical damage prior to installation.
We accept no liability for installation delays or additional labour costs arising from defective, damaged, or delayed client-supplied products.
4. Booking, Deposits & Stage Payments
Deposit: A booking deposit (typically 20%–30%) is required to secure your project slot on our schedule and allocate labour/procurement.
Payment Milestones: Larger renovation projects follow defined stage payments tied to project milestones (e.g., Initial Rip-Out & First-Fix Plumbing/Electrical, Tiling & Waterproofing, Final Fitting & Handover).
Final Payment: The final balance is due upon practical completion and sign-off of the agreed scope of works.
Retention of Title: Legal title to all materials supplied by Bath Craft Renovations remains with us until all invoices related to the project are settled in full.
5. Site Access, Latent Defects & Services
Access & Utilities: The Client agrees to grant our team reasonable site access during standard working hours, as well as continuous access to mains water and electricity.
Latent/Concealed Defects: In renovation and retrofit projects, concealed defects (such as decayed timber joists, leaking sub-floor pipework, or non-compliant legacy electrical wiring) may only become evident after stripping out existing fixtures. If unforeseen structural or plumbing issues are discovered:
Work on the affected area will pause.
The Client will be notified immediately.
An itemised quotation for remedial work will be submitted for approval before proceeding.
Waste & Clearances: We arrange waste removal and skip placement in compliance with Dublin local authority regulations.
6. Cancellations & Cooling-Off Rights
Cancellations: Project cancellations must be submitted in writing. If a project is cancelled after custom orders have been placed or within 7 days of the scheduled start date, costs reasonably incurred (such as restocking fees or unrecoverable site allocation costs) will be deducted from the deposit.
Statutory Rights: Consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 apply where contracts are concluded off-premises, subject to statutory exemptions where work has commenced upon the express written request of the Client.
7. Workmanship Guarantee & Warranties
Installation Guarantee: We provide a 12-month guarantee on our installation workmanship from the date of practical completion.
Manufacturer Warranties: Sanitised fixtures, shower pumps, taps, and electrical appliances carry their respective manufacturers’ warranties.
Exclusions: Our guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, intentional or accidental damage, or issues arising from improper maintenance or misuse.
8. Limitation of Liability & Insurance
Insurance: Bath Craft Renovations maintains full Public Liability and relevant trade insurances.
Liability Cap: To the extent permitted by Irish law, our liability arising from or in connection with the contract shall be limited to the total contract sum paid by the Client for the specific works. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
